FAMILY

Founded by Gasparé Indelicato in 1924, the goal of Delicato Family Vineyards  has always been to source the finest possible grapes, then use those grapes to create premium wines at affordable prices. Nearly 85 years later, Gasparé's original vision continues with the third generation of Indelicato family members.

DFV Wines is a successful, modern winery with national and international distribution.  Nowhere is this more evident than in the fact that Delicato has been named US Wine Producer of the Year an unprecedented three times at the International Wine and Spirits Competition along with countless individual awards for its wines.  A team of highly experienced winemakers has brought decades of expertise to create wines of distinctive character and memorable quality.

Chris Indelicato - CEO Delicato Family Vineyards

Chris was born 30 years after his grandfather, Gaspare Indelicato, started the family winery in Manteca, California.  Working under the guiding hands of his father and uncles, Chris learned the business from the ground up.  He attended USC in Southern California, earned a BS Degree and then became a licensed CPA. For six years, he pursued a career in the accounting field and in 1994 returned to the family business to work alongside his brother Jay in the Bulk Wine Division.  Later, Chris held positions as CFO and National Sales Manager until assuming the role of CEO in 2004.

Chris brings a sense of humor and down-to-earth management style to Delicato.  "Every day, I work with my family, the most imprtant people in the world to me.  I am reminded that each employee, each vendor, each grower, each consumer is also part of our family.  I have a responsibility to serve them all to the best of my ability."

Chris enjoys sports, dirt bikes, and camping.  His favorite pastime is spending time with his wife Mache, son Borja and daughter Caterina at their Stockton area home.
